This highly desirable cactus grows in the deserts of Chile with an interesting combination of harsh desert and coastal weather.  As they age, their epidermis becomes more glaucous and the spines become more dense.

Care

Copiapoas grow best in a high-mineral mix and require infrequent watering. This plant thrives in light shade although it can be acclimated to full sun.
