Echinocactus horizonthalonius cv. Sirotoge Suiheimaru is one of our favorite cultivars and is extremely rare to find on their own roots. This Japanese cultivar is defined by its short, straight, AND white spines (see the last image for how it's supposed to look). This seedling is from Japan and is already showing top tier genetic traits.

Care

This plant grows best in a high-mineral mix and requires infrequent watering. We grow these under 50% shade but they can be acclimated to full sun. Overwatering can cause the plant to split or rot! These go dormant in the winter months. You can water lightly once a month during the winter.
