Pachypodium namaquanum

Regular price

This Pachypodium is commonly known as “Halfmens” or “Elephant Trunk” and grows in South Africa, especially near Namaqualand.  This grows quite large in habitat-- to the point that it resembles the trunk of an elephant!

Care

Thrives in warmth and strong light but will need acclimation to full sun. Protect from freezes by either covering or bringing inside. Water through spring and summer but it is best to leave it mostly dry through winter to avoid rot.
