This is a variegated version of asterias. The lack of chlorophyl in parts of the plant creates beautiful yellow-to-red tones depending on light and weather. Variegated plants tend to be slower growing but they make up for it with the unique patterns created through the mutated growth!
Care
Like most xerophytes from Mexico, this cultivar grows best in a high-mineral mix and requires infrequent watering. Variegated plants burn easily and should be kept in light shade. Overwatering can cause the plant to split or rot!
